Guided Meditation Sessions:

Saturdays from 7:00-8:00pm. There is a short talk and time for questions and answers for participants. There is no need to have any previous experience in meditation techniques and the atmosphere is informal and relaxed.

Dhamma Class and Meditation

Each Saturday there is a Dhamma class (in Buddhist Doctrine) from 5:30-6:30 pm. held in the Library at the Monks' residence, followed by a half hour break and then meditation at 7:00PM in the Meditation Hall. The Dhamma class folllows a text that is available (for those who want it) at Dhammasala. These classes are based on the original, classical Buddhist doctrine and follow the words of the Buddha himself, explained and clarified with discussions and open questions on all aspects of Buddhism. The classes are free of charge and open to all.

No qualifications are needed to attend meditation sessions or the classes. No need to worry about experience, if you are a beginner basic training is available. There are no costs involved.

Open House

Saturdays are informal open house: Families come on that day with their kids and the Monks are available for answering questions, offering guidance, and a short Dhamma talk.

10:30am Dana (food) offering and an 11:00 potluck sharing breakfast of Asian and Western foods. Summer offers great picnics under the trees and beautiful walks in the forest. Bring a dish to share if you like.

Please see the Directions page for directions to Dhammasala.
